LINKS
The purpose of this page is to provide a research
facility for Setians and is loosely based upon the Temple of
Set's 24 category Reading List. Like any of the books found on
the Reading List, the information provided by these links should
be viewed with a critical eye. The ability to separate the
essential from the non-essential will serve the Setian well in
his or her search for accurate information. Good hunting!
Mediterranean Magic
These links provide information
for Setians interested in categories 1, 2 and 12 of the Temple of
Set's Reading List. These are (respectively) "Ancient Egyptian
History," "Ancient Egyptian Philosophy" and "The
Pythagoreans."
Northern Mysteries
These links provide information
that can be found in categories 14 ("Fascism, Totalitarianism and
Magic") and 24 ("Runic Arts and Sciences") of the Temple's
Reading List. These categories are generally of interest to
Knights of the Order of the Trapezoid. Here I should point out
that while Setians are interested in the occult research that was
being done by the Ahnenerbe SS during World War II, we do not
advocate any of the Nazi's social or political principles either
in theory or in practice.
Setian Sites
The following sites are hosted
by Setians for Setians. Here you will find more
advanced/up-to-date information on Left-Hand Path theory and
practice than anywhere else on the internet. Thanks to all of the
brilliant Initiates who put their ideas out to stand or fall on
their own merits. Xeper.
Thelemic Sites
Victorian Egyptology was a very
young science. The Rosetta Stone had just been translated by
Champollion in 1822 CE and Wallis Budge, founder of an Egyptian
Lodge within the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, was perhaps
the most learned Egyptologist of that era. Budge was probably
Aleister Crowley's primary Egyptological source and it is because
of this that his dealings with Horus were confused. The actual
neter behind the transcription of The Book of the
Law was not the Osirian Horus the Younger (Gk. Harpocrates),
but rather the predynastic HarWer or Horus the Elder. This Horus
was complimentary to, rather than antagonistic towards Set. It is
in this somewhat darker light that the Children of Set understand
the Aeon of Horus, keeping a critical eye on contemporary
developments in Egyptology. These links contain information
pertinent to category 9 ("The Aeon of Horus") of the Temple's
Reading List.
Vampyric Characteristics
These links should be of
interest to Initiates of the Order of the Vampyre. They
correspond to category 8 ("Vampirism and Lycanthropy") of the
Temple's Reading List.
General Occult Links
Here are some general occult
links, roughly corresponding to categories 3 ("Religion and
Daemonology in Historical Perspective") and 4 ("Occultism in
Contemporary Perspective") of the Temple's Reading List.
