Welcome to The Gates of Ganzir
The Gates of Ganzir is the UK based Pylon of the Temple of Set. The name originates from Sumerian mythology, in which Ganzir was the name of the palace at the entrance of the Great Below. It was the abode of Ereshkigal, She Who Wails, the goddess of the underworld.
About the Temple of Set
The Temple of Set is the foremost Initiatory School in the Western world. It exists to explore the Left Hand Path in all its facets from many diverse and diffuse cultures and times. The main focus of Initiates is the activation, realisation and conscious development of the individual core Self to Come into Being. Such is defined by the Word of the Aeon of Set, Xeper. This Word is derived from a translation of the Egyptian hieroglyph representative of the god of the rising sun, Kheph-Ra, in his form of the sacred Scarab Beetle. In English this translates to I Have Come into Being, or to Become. This Word is a Key to magical self transformation and freedom from the laws of the mechanical cosmos postulated by conventional religions and other Right Hand Path philosophies who would deny the Sovereignty of the Isolate Self.
The Temple of Set is a working environment where individuals may work to actively explore Left Hand Path magic and philosophy. The main focus of the United Kingdom Temple is the long term Initiation of those who enter its gates, seeking quality members over numbers. It strives to end personal laziness, engender discipline, and promote magical excellence. We seek dedicated individuals who are sincerely interested in strengthening and broadening their spiritual and intellectual horizons through discussion and application of Setian experiential philosophy and magic. We are not seeking followers or leaders; we are seeking collaborators and individuals who are dedicated to the pursuit of personal excellence.
