The Temple of Set is an Initiatory School of Black Magic, dedicated to the Prince of Darkness.

Black Magic is a philosophy, technique and tool that is focused on:

• Control
• Self-consciousness
• Individuality
• Creative challenge
• Self-deification

One of the main magical focuses of the Temple is the Word of the Aeon of Set - "Xeper", an Ancient Egyptian word meaning "to become" or "I have come into Being". This is both watchword and an Initiatory focus - to become the best individual one is able to be, to become like the Prince of Darkness - an eternal independent entity - rather than the immersion of consciousness as proposed by White Magic and associated religious and philosophical schools.

The Temple of Set has been active in Australasia since 1975. A number of Setian Pylons, Orders, Elements and informal study groups are also active in Australasia.
